DEFENDER'S RAP

• I was born in a small cottage in the Bay Area with a goal to be more than an on-stage character
• Tryna make a mark and leave the mark of the beast, the music I love is dyin I’m tryna take care of ya
• I grew up in a town by the sea it’s a little off the map good luck findin ya way
• Almost everybody around me smoked weed and surfed but I ain’t ridin the wave
• I was the only local rapper I knew tryna stay true to myself by any means
• It was rare that somebody rapped, and when they did it was the whitest shit you ever seen
• Nowadays there are a few more, but most have no variety
• I would battle kids at school and gained some notoriety
• I wouldn’t just tell people that I rapped, if you knew you knew
• But people couldn’t get that more twisted with a Rubik’s cube
• And so they spread the word, and in the end it worked
• Now more can connect with the message when I pen a verse
• I still keep it on the low but I loved the support I received
• It’s crazy how you can impact a life with a flow over a beat
