DEFENDER'S RAP

• Hope is an optimistic state of mind, to cherish a desire with anticipation
• Its a feelin' of an expectation of obtainment or fulfilment, self-realisation
• But what happens when you don’t believe in hope, let’s suppose
• You’ve been hurt in the past, and you’re trying to cope
• With all the negative thinkin' that might come along,
• Talkin' down on yourself is the only thing you know
• You drive the same road with passengers in your mind
• They carry a lot of baggage why do you still keep them inside?
• You don’t move forward cause they’re slowin' you down
• And your head gets to heavy so you’re walkin' face down
• Breathin' becomes more difficult
• You're ashamed, so you become invisible
• Waitin' for a miracle is better than livin' a pitiful life
• Impossible, to give up with out a fight, your life is valuable
• But you don't see it when you're standing alone
• So if you feel yourself slippin', grab on to your soul
• It may seem typical, but you must have hope
•  
• 1-2-3-4 times, you'll fall but you gotta rise up
• Don't let them win, don’t give in, no don’t give up
