CHALLENGER'S RAP

• there was something wrong
• i was ten
• there was something iffy in the kitchen
• It was fishing for a knife but it kept flickering in and out of vision
• like my eyes couldn't make a decision
• if what I was seeing was real
• its skin began to peel
• as if it was sunburnt it gave a dreadful feel
• the whole thing was all so surreal
• its face looked like a dog's snout if it was inverted
• then into an outlet, the finger inserted
• it began to scream in pleasure and rage
• it reached toward my face
• then I woke up with my forehead giving off smoke
• then in the corner the creature spoke
• it sounded like a croak
• "Help" I wanted to scream
• its bony fingers seemed to steam and I began to choke
• I woke up again and its fingers were skewered into my throat
• My heart stopped and my sight began to fade
• I was dying, wasn't I? "let it be quicker" I prayed
• then next thing I know I was somewhere else
• "Is this heaven or hell?" I yell
• I saw the creature again, realities were starting to gel
• then on my back, I fell hopefully this is farewell
