CHALLENGER'S RAP

• Here I am again,
• About to find out the plan,
• Almost a joke like green eggs and ham,
• Except the joke's on me cause I enlisted with "Uncle Sam",
• I can here it now from the fam, trying to tell me what branch to enlist to,
• To be entrenched to, but I didnt turn blue,
• Waved as the tide grew, I turned true,
• Went in new, thought I knew what I would do,
• Until it hit me that I never even had a clue,
• From boot camp to deployment number two,
• Never had a chance to slow down,
• Boots hit the ground, and never stopped letting my heart beat another pound,
• Fuck anxiety, or an IED, I'm running through bombs like a juggernaight running through trees,
• Completely invincible in my training, thought I was done playing,
• But while others were complaining I was concentrating,
• Came out the gates blazing,
• My mind hastens as another close bullet is what I'm facing,
• You pussys can take an about face and walk away because today it's blood that I'm tasting,
• Relentless but I'm ready to kick a gap in, and wipe out everyone in the offensive,
• Tired of kicking in doors to faces of the defenseless,
• Worked my way up in rank obeying orders seemingly endless,
• But ..
• Here I am again,
• The plan was just given a green light for "Uncle Sam"
• So with that I listen, scope shaded to prevent a reflecting prism,
• I'm free but my mind never left the prison,
• Hearts speeds, but for me it slows down enough to think in between them,
• Between beats I found a new rhythm,
• I trust my training and with that I ship a present outward toward them,
• Them, who are those never knowing or seeing what just danced in,
• As their skulls fractures and caves in,
• Just drew a diagonal line for a fifth time in my hash marks,
• I feel alive when I see sparks,
• After another life sees the dark,
• I close my eyes and pretend that wasn't just the neighbors dog that barks.....
