DEFENDER'S RAP

• Sitting alone in the haunting darkness, as the torturous thoughts creep into his mind
• He's in disbelief because she was never that type until he stumbled into her room to find
• her body's a bloody mess because the attempt of suicide gone correctly
• without any hesitation, she put the gun with the loaded chamber pointing directly
• to her head, one pull of the trigger and she'd be dead
• she knew this decision she would regret, but she pulled the trigger and turned her carpet red
• I called her a couple of times that night, she never picked up
• I arrived there in the morning, shook her but she never woke up
• She left us mourning, I'm in tears, in disbelief
• I'm all alone on a rooftop, looking down in grief
• I'm kneeling at the side of my bed praying she's found peace
• Stumbling over my own two feet, trying to pick up every piece
• of my shattered heart
• I mistreated her, and I knew it, too late to apologize now that she's given up cause I tore her apart
• I look on her bureau to find a suicide note
• specifically to me, hand wrote
• stating she was sorry but she lost hope
• she was too emotionally low that she couldn't cope
