CHALLENGER'S RAP

• I've been rapping hard all day and night
• Couple days off just to get my brain right
• despite, several sights on the horizontal line
• Suppose It's time to be in my prime

• Lock the guns and load the mags
• Hop in the truck we goin fast
• Down in Iraq with the squad
• gas masks in hand
• I do hope you know you'll lose, that's clear to understand
• Now don't underestimate me
• You're probably only in it for the money baby
• But my gun and mask show a different side of the past
• a war about to happen that will only last
• several years in the making
• Only waiting
• Forever fuckin fading
• The war we fought in was cruel and nothin to be proud of
• Our country congratulated us with a crowd
• But that's not enough
• when too many KIA's floods your mind
• It's as if this battle was designed
• It's as if we were combined
• fighting against all odds for the sake of mankind
• I remember being in that truck
• Bumping our heads on the roof as we went along
• A fire erupted straight in front of us
• People screamed for a bomb
• Incendiary I heard as we climbed out the back, the driver dead
• This is a war, not a game, you can't just respawn
• So we tread on
• Hoping not to get shot behind the trenches thinking that we had won
• Course we did that's how the tale ends but that didn't last long
• When you see your mate get killed in front of you during combat
• You ain't exactly fucking headstrong
• I'm losing my mind as I'm writing this
• I just reminisce about the days we had together
• The treasure, we had found
• I wished it had lasted forever.
• But we duck into the ground
• Hearing the sound of anger and pain rush through our heads
• I tell you, the feeling was insane

• So I stand up over the trench, the scope to my eye
• I'm praying for a bullseye
• One bullet hit the ground, a head popped off
• Their family's thoughts just fucked off
• I tell myself this is all for a cause
• but is it really?
• Murdering for a cause is just an excuse
• This includes threatening to murder isn't any better
• But this is a war, not a child's play area
• People actually die
• And then their deaths are mourned
• but where the hell am I
• waking up at first dawn
• Wondering what I have become
• A demon? Or my father's son
• A born killer
• But my nation describes him as a hero
• For killing millions of citizens by dropping a bomb
• And so I ask

• What the hell, have I become.
