DEFENDER'S RAP

• What to say? what to say?
• do i play? or do i slay?
• im stuck in yesterday, its today its a different day,
• its time to pay, and drop to my knees and pray if i may
• because i know, it will be ok, because with jesus, my sins are kept at bay
• this is child's play, i display my dismay, but ill meet you half-way, and convey
• your doomsday, and down play my decay, its the only way, to lock away
• the constant pain of every week day, i used to survive day-to-day, but i stand my ground
• that is to say, this is my independence day, no more seeing gray
• im going all the way, its my judgement day, i do this everyday
• stuck on replay, im trying to stay, yet i stray away and sway
• and put myself on layaway, but regardless of what happens, i know its a good day to have a good day!
