DEFENDER'S RAP

• brother went off to school, parents fighting as I try to find comfort in nick jr.
• all I hear is them bickering over shit stupid, I was only 5 so I didn't see it as a big nuisance
• when my dad got mad he used hits to inflict solutions, I started to see sinister movements
• put his hands on my mother, I tried to do something he told me to shut up
• how can he do that to the woman he supposed to love? that's fucked up
• those toons I was watching were interesting but I can't sit and watch my mom get strangled to death
• time to show this gangster whats best, he used violence to obtain some respect
• I went in the kitchen got a fork like that thang was gon help
• I was too young and feeble to inflict pain that's dealt, got spanked with belts
• If I knew better I would of gotten a knife and mashed his brains to mess
• but that would of left me in an asylum for the insane to be correct
• leaving my mother without a lover living single to raise my older brother
• In a hood so upset with gangs, sex and violence he was likely to join a set
