DEFENDER'S RAP

• V1: My life has been quite a voyage I guess, on the stormy sea/ In the beginning
• my life had seemed like such a fuckin' dream/ But that dream quickly became an
• nightmare and it was quite clear/ that after my dad died fighting in Iraq I cried
• tears/ Me and my bro could'nt seem to cope with the loss/ Neither could Mom she
• turned to the bottles of Jack on the wall/ It was bottle after bottle then she'd
• blackout and fall/ Painful shit for all of us to watch her cry and lose it all/ But
• don't think that we gave up bc my grandpa told us wake up/ The old man took
• charge and was the one gave us the anger/ And watched over us until my mom
• got back in shape/ My life's a voyage like The Odyssey man.

• V2: Yeah, seven years later we moved to a new town/ The city of Miami, where
• there's always plenty of crowds/ But in these crowds there wasn't a fuckin' face that I
• knew/ The sand's white, the ocean's blue and the ladies love you/ There was lots of things
• to do we went to South Beach and the zoo/ And we swam, jetskiied w/ my grandpa ate some great food/
• And when school began my freshman year I'm fuckin brand new/ People were chill with me I felt welcome
• like the fuck did I do?/ I ain't even say Hi and shit and people tellin' me that I'm cool/ I'm just happy 2 be here
• I said yo it's nice to meet you/ Teachers didn't lke me so much cuz I slept like a dog/ I got sent to detention hall
• where I just napped like a log/ In my 3 favorite classes which were math, water polo and music/ I made new friends the
• crew that I hand out w/ and cruise w// The shit is dope and now I'm captain of the JV swim team/ Dad if you see me from the
• stars I hope that you're proud of me.
