DEFENDER'S RAP

• Everyone lately has been telling me to make amends
• To the world, seeming as they think I've wronged them
• Turned out the lights to see for once in my life
• What i can do, if i can fix the pain and the strife
• Back away from the knife, everyone has told me
• they smile and grin once the world thinks they've sold me
• Their horrid addition to this sickly rendition
• Of a world, then write a statement of my mental condition
• 'Crazy', i'm labeled since i refuse to sit down, behave and listen
• I want to speak out, be loud, scream out but i see now
• That'll get me nowhere with the most recent ambitions
• Questions, answers, everyone wants to try
• but truly it's all just to hide, and they cry and they cry
• they ask questions again but then nobody seems to listen
• Why does the world turn, why doesn't it roll?
• Why must i listen, give others all control?
• The questions they scream at me and i just have to let it go
• There are questions in this world never meant to be answered
• Like what if what we've called ourselves is actually just backwards
• Everything is changing, rearranging in my vision
• I realized what i thought was true is really just fiction
• But it's like an addiction with the world always telling me
• Who you are, who i am, and who my kids must be
• Now tell me, will we let them decide
• Who we are and if we can fly or die
• They tell us we can choose to end our life
• But as soon as we pick up the knife they sat its not worth it, fight!
• This worlds screwed up, turned itself on its head
• And it's telling you to turn around, just go back to bed
