DEFENDER'S RAP

• Wake up at 9:30 like every day before,
• time to shit brush my teeth and undertake the daily chore,
• i rap while i do it spitting rhymes and metaphors,
• try not to focus on the boredom let my mind drift and soar,
• i reach into the dryer and take out sheets and jeans,
• reach back in again i left a sock underneath,
• put the shirts on the side so i can iron out the crease,
• do it absentmindedly, my mind you see is overseas,
• in a foreign land playing out some random fantasies,
• next task, take the clothes out of the washing machine,
• it's still spinning like your head on amphetamines,
• it goes beep beep which signals to me,
• the wash is done
• i hold two shirts up in comparison,
• fuck i cuss, my t-shirt shrunk for the third time this month,
• i mutter some swear words incomprehensible,
• oh well the shirt was cheap i guess it is dispensable,
• once i put the wet clothes in the dryer, my job is finished,
• i can go back to bed and eat my breakfast,
