DEFENDER'S RAP

• I grew up in a house built by my grandfather in the middle of the woods
• Never met him until he was on his death bed. Don't know if that's bad or good
• Both of my parents grew up without dads, so they did everything they could
• To keep mine in my life which makes me glad, after their divorce in my childhood
• Weekdays with mom in my neighborhood, weekends with dad living in the woods
• As I got older weekdays selling goods, weekends laying low and reading books
• I liked to get fucked up through my teen years, smoking weed, popping Ps, drinking beers
• Got my name ironically from doing speed, sipping lean, and every drug in between
• I'd go to school fueled on vyvanse and smoking crack and bud in the bathroom stalls.
• I'd crawl to badminton in gym class and then you'd see me bouncing off the walls
• Like I was dodging balls, I was always forgetting what game I was playing
• Then I was scaling walls in math class by walking across the chalk railing
• I would be up for days getting drugs for trade and selling them to get paid
• Then I'd be telling lies to the supervising eyes of school that would try
• To bust me quick but I was too slick, hiding a joint up my sleeve by the wrist
• And I was always saying some smart ass shit simply because I was always on some hard ass shit
