- I accepted and connected sent my message through the wire

- Dressed fresh for success not a derelict that few would hire
- Well I'm on a quest to have mankind check that divine mindset
- Sometimes cynics try to sidestep but haven't dodged my rhymes yet
- I cast a wide net like Pythagoras to fish:
- Ancient wisdom now rewritten as a famous Christian myth
- That's how deep my math goes, revelations straight from Patmos
- But to my knowledge some intolerant like Vietnamese to lactose
- Some people only seem to 'wake' when they have to dress in black clothes
- Like the grim reaper needs to tap em on the shoulder or stand that close
- To have them appreciate the treasure in their chest
- Every breath they have left is a blessing before death
- My man Will died kite surfing in the bay
- He had big plans but his fate got in the way
- As a kid pretty sick the epilepsy seizures plagued him
- Plenty friction through his youth drug addiction then enslaved him
- He could have caved in he was crawlin on his knees
- But he would fight for his life recognised his enemies
- Were his own fear and pride now free from that disease
- He went med school tutored others to help pay fees
- He just became a doctor used to travel overseas
- Help folk in western Africa fight off bad disease
- At every concert live music was his thing
- Death metal, classical, anything with strings
- He headed out that day not knowing what the wind would bring
- A seizure on the water left him unable to swim
- A local found the body and brought him into shore
- Found out the next day and my feelings they were raw
- Cause this was a place I'd been too many times before
- Addicts lose a lot of friends but in recovery it hurts more
- After the funeral I was feeling pretty down
- On the net saw Wu-Tang were touring in my town
- Entered a competion to see if I could win
- 3 days later you know the most poetic thing
- Happened got 2 backstage tickets if you follow
- You know even out of sorrow comes A Better Tomorrow
