DEFENDER'S RAP

• For one moment, can we all just take a step back,
• To have a look around, What do ya see? Are you proud of that?
• Do you see the generation that we've raised,
• with their ignorance and arrogance, being all that they display.
• It seems that cant take one single moment of their time,
• to look up from their screens so they can see the world that's passing by,
• I can't imagine what it would be like being contained to a four inch screen,
• Without being able to see the beauty, that's flashing by around me,
• Cause isn't that the reason why we all strive for health,
• So we can stick around for as long as we can so we can enjoy this earth,
• But with your noses in the screens, I doubt that you even give one glance,
• Instead you just cruise through your life, without even giving yourself a chance,
• And that's exactly it, your missing out on your life,
• by passing up opportunities that could change your life,
• Cause all it takes is one decision, one action, one vision,
• To help you find the true you, and live the life that you were given,
• Sometimes I see 'em give that sideways glance,
• As if they want to look up but for some reason they think they can't,
• It's as if the phones, tablets and iPods have turned into cyborgs,
• and brain washed them all by attaching technology to their eyeballs,
• Now, I don't see how this hardware can be so addictive,
• I don't wanna hear about what Kim Kardashian did, and,
• Because the fact is, I have my own life, and my own problems,
• I don't have time to poke back that strange guy that thinks I know him,
• And anyway, you hear all of these bad things about the internet,
• Plus the broad band’s always slow and your like “ohh, has it loaded yet”
• And buy the way, just because you Twitter name is superman,
• Doesn't mean you you can jump off a building or you'll soon be splatter-man,
• You see, The internet is bad for you in every way,
• It sends you loopy, crazy, quirky, and gives you a false sense of security,
• It messes with your head, it makes you someone that your not,
• So just pocket your phone, I don't even care if you smash it, just turn it off.
