CHALLENGER'S RAP

• Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name
• I thank you for this gift of poetry that when I was eleven I claimed
• Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven
• I thank you for the gift of knowledge for I knew the worth of your name when I seven
• Give us this day our daily bread
• Lord there hasn't been a day where the devil didn't try to mess with my head
• And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors
• Lord I won't let nobody tell me you're not the good shepherd
• And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
• And Lord there will never be no God or another man to be equal
• For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory
• I know that physical book is over but spiritually it's more to the story
• God you know me better than I know myself
• You know when I talk about rapping to get money that I'm not doing it for myself
• I'm doing it so my family ain't gotta have no more evictions under their belt
• My momma taught me about your son, she taught me that Christmas isn't about Santa and a elf
• I'm doing this so my family can live their life without worrying about a bill
• Throughout it all Father I thank you that you kept me from turning to pills
• No matter the eviction, nights hungry, no lights nothing could ever change how I feel
• Cause in the storm I could only think how big the rainbow was gonna be and it always gave me chills
• The devil try to lead me from you, yes I know that there's a lot of evil in this world
• But my eyes on you, I wanna grow to be like you so I guess I am Daddy's Little Girl
• Spiritually and physically, I wanna thank you for my blessings lyrically
• For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind
• When my daddy almost died, you kept me together and when he went in surgery I kept a sound mind
• I thank you for my blessings all the time because in the darkness you're the light that shines
