DEFENDER'S RAP

• All my loved ones around me, falling to pieces
• They find out I'm hurting and say, turn to Jesus
• But I see them at night drink their problems away
• They can dish out words but can't live what they say
• All these hypocrits, sayin' one thing and doin' another
• Is that why my dad said, don't leave him, and I only know my mother
• My mom said never drink while she had one in her hand
• She's drownin' in her sorrows and can't find land
• She can't see that it's not just hurtin' herself
• It's affectin' both of our health
• She's gettin' drunk every night and her cigarrets are gettin' lit
• Then when she gets home I'm the one gettin' hit
• She tells me I'm worthless and I just brush it off
• I hear a voice sayin' she cares, but it's very soft
• It's the only thing that keeps me goin'
• Only thing that keeps me alive
• Some people don't get food, some don't get sleep
• Well I don't get love so I'm love deprived
• It's the reason that every night I cry myself to sleep
• And I weep and weep and I just keep goin' weak

• After all the drugs, the beer, the abuse, and porn
• There has to be a way to find freedom from this
• I just hope something, someone, hears my wish

• Every night a city, every night a different chick
• I got money and fame but I don't want this
• Taking drugs to be famous and stay on the top
• Always feelin' down so I take those pills and pop
• I got all the money in the world and they say my fame means something
• But right now all this don't mean nothing
• I wanna go back to bein' an average guy
• Where I can go to an event wihtou havin' to get high
• Without happiness and love, what's the point in this?
• I feel like satan leaned in and gave me a deadly kiss
• Every day packin' and goin' somewhere else
• My body's in bad shape and I always need help
• With the liftin' and toatin' everything around
• And with all the drugs
• The old man inside me is nowhere to be found
