DEFENDER'S RAP

• I'm gonna come hard in this one, rise up and then blow
• but not in your girl, though she be open to my flow
• or in your mom, even though she begging to be consoled
• so I hold her in my arms as she peaks then breathlessly speaks of your woes
• helplessly telling me she tried to warn you that you shouldn't compose
• but insistent you resisted but still no poetry just prose
• more persistent in time spent reflecting on a pose
• as you mirror all the stances and gestures of the pros
• but don't you know it's the stanzas and fresh verses you should load
• in the barrels packed and ready to be emptied into your foes?
• but you don't, you don't have it--in this you're just not predisposed
• so I'ma disclose your flaws to all, leave you fully exposed
• as you blow dull smoke, I fire up a blunt and toss you some clothes
• you ain't sharp, the notes you put up fall flat decomposed
• this music, you abuse it and you can't refute that you froze
• when you tried to lock eyes with me, they closed and I drew X's and Odes
