• I know you tried hard to be at the top of the mountain
• Slept at the shelter, drank from the common fountain
• No money to eat, ate someone else’s junk
• But this aint only a rich mans world
• Even the titanic sunk.
• And then your chance came
• To get a name, earn some money, rise to fame
• Everything changed, your life wasn’t the same
• People started loving you
• Some you knew, some you didn’t.
• The ones you knew were the ones who thought when you asked for help you wer kidding
• They were the ones who thought of your poverty as a joke
• And when your pockets filled with some cash they couldn’t cope.
• You’re life was dope

• But when the problem began you didn’t understand it
• All that cash and all the bling
• Spending it all away in just a fling.
• You bought a house, you bought some cars
• You started finding peace in them gold bars.
• You started wearing a mask to cover your face
• Cover your past, hide your history
• A mask made of paper,
• Some Lincolns and some Benjamins
• And that mask became your true face, you forgot your name and your race.
• All that money and all that bling
• Your life became a joke, like a joke said by that character from the tv show.
• Who was him?
• Oh yes how I forget, his name was bing.

• And now you are here
• The same shelter house
• Lost all your money, even your children and your spouse
• Some say you deserve it some say you don’t
• But they wont stop talking about you , they wont.
• But did you want this? To be in everyone’s words.
• Or did you want to be at the top of the world?
• But this is what happens when you forget your roots,
• Youre world starts to swirl
• Your life starts to curl
• When you forget your past
• When you dont remember the shadow that you cast
• Nothing ever will last.
