CHALLENGER'S RAP

• what does it take to reach the heights tradition sets before us
• who knows the stakes to teach the right ambition sets toward lust
• thus we go in this world clutching at slipping dreams
• all the while worrying and hurled by wind ripping at the seams
• the little shards of light shine less and less in the days
• what fickle regard for right minds and they stress in most ways
• it's hard to ignite fire when the weariness sits so charred
• and it's far from light-inspired when the bleariness hits so hard
• children see the world in a way to which we've become blind
• thusly hindered we hurl away a view good for a healthy mind
• we gladly step into our shackles and walk into our prisons
• and sadly pep our hackles and talk when we should listen
• enamoured with our own voices to the point we are deafened
• and we tampered with our own choices to the point we are lessened
• and thus diminished we finished or wishing for ambition
• and transitioned our unfinished desires into submission
• so then listen my friend I'm gonna pull you from your troubles
• so just give in when I run a system to burst the bubble
• that you have built to serve as a refuge for your pain
• the guilt strains reserves deluged you can't maintain
• so you need the options presented by an outside source
• and to heed the cautions extended by an allied source
• I want to give you the chance to flourish and to thrive
• to be alive and romanced and nourish by the drive
• toward a day that sees consistent rise in your condition
• set forward unafraid and confident with ambition
• here's a chance to shake the ashes that weigh down your shoulders
• a proffered hand to ease the aches that stay around and smoulder
• though it seem merely a foothold on a gigantic climb
• and severely angled to behold for a panicked mind
