CHALLENGER'S RAP
- i am a simple enough guy working my rhymes all the time
- in my daily life I have to work to hold the line
- between life and death, preserving the breath
- of the people struggling against the violence committed on their health
- I'm a medic, I been the hands that brought new lives in
- I delivered both my kids though i was buggin' out within
- As far as my temperament goes you should know
- I'm not usually the type of person whose anger blows
- but within resides a darker side
- a rising tide that appears despite
- a clam cool demeanour, and exterior composed
- but when I see the kind of evil done to people I explode
- cops have pulled me off of child abusers
- I've been pulled off remorseless thugs
- I've had to face accusers
- their rage to my face, spit hitting my mug
- but overall, though, I'm a positive type of person
- I like nurture other's voices as they work to better their verses
- so for all who love the craft of word-smithing and rhyming
- I'd be happy to look at your work and prop the shit I find inspiring
DEFENDER'S RAP
- Alright, this isn't a rerun,
- Rapped of myself before,
- But now it's on stun, because
- You won't expect what you're going to read,
- Things about me, they won't all
- be cheery.
- I've dealt with darkness pretty recently,
- I've done some bad things pretty blindly,
- And frankly, I'd say, if you asked me,
- I think I'm pretty hopeless, and I agree,
- With the idea that life is devastating.
- You won't ever just get what you were simply expecting,
- Life doesn't give you lemons, it rubs them in your eyes.
- That's what I say, 'cause it's life that I despise.
- But here's the catch, it isn't all the time.
- Sometimes life is good, not just always a climb.
- But when it is, it's an endless one.
- And it makes happiness seem like a crime, but it's done.
- Confusion can be caused by a lot, for me, it's
- Depression, and emotional instability,
- Sometimes it seems I just can't be enjoying
- Life, and eventually, it just gets annoying.
- This rap, it resembles a part of me, now you're knowing
- What it's like to spend everyday feeling like nothing.
