CHALLENGER'S RAP

• When the world falls upon me
• Will I be strong enough to hold it up
• Or will I just fall like the rest?
•  
• The answer to that question has yet to be discover
• Cuz I still wonder what my life will turn out be every time I make these difficult choices
• Will I be throwin hundreds or will I be rollin quarters
• Will I be able to haul this weight upon my shoulders
• Will I fall like the rest, will I fail to complete my mission
• Those promises that I made, will I fail to keep them
• Will I be a disappointment, to everybody
• Will I let down all those people that care about me
• No one told me life can get so complicated
• I remember doing walks upon that sandy beach
• Now I got to face these life and death situations
• I'm getting tired of DEDICATIN my life to these homies, and they not even mine
• They just rollin by my side cuz they don't want to die
• They don't want to take bullet, but they want me to
• They want me to hold the door open as they walk through
• They I'm that bridge as they walk over
• They say in battle I am their suit of armor
• But see that's the thing,
• It's like I spent my whole life tryin to save them from their own problems
• They say I'm their entity, something I never agreed to be a part of
• But they still depend on me, to warm them up as the world gets colder
• It's like they just keep throwin their lives upon my shoulders

• "There's something I always wanted to tell y'all. You see..."
•  
• I will never make choice that determines someone's life or death
• Because if I make a mistake I don't want that kind of burden living upon my chest
• I will never use my pinky to make a promise, I will never swear on it
• I will never risk my life for another one
• Cuz I don't want anyone to think that I can be depended on
• It's not that you can't trust me, I just don't want to get that type of feelin
• That feelin that everyone gets everytime you fail someone else's mission
• Why show fear, shed tears for no reason
• Why mourn for someone you never knew from the beginning
• I will never fight battle that some else cause
• I will never show pity for some else lost
• I will never risk my life no matter the cost
• Even if it's too great
• Now sometimes that's not always the case
• Sometimes I just gotta go in and get it done
• Sometimes I just can't turn on my homies and run
• Sometimes I must take action, Sometimes I gotta pull that trigger
• Yeah there's a lot of sometimes, but most of the time is making the decision
• Should I turn the other cheek, or look them straight in the eye
• I can walk away at anytime, but I can never say goodbye
• Always coming back to the same problems that can never be completely solved
• I always wonder what will happen if I was just never involved
• Will I rise with the others, or be that one that falls
• Had to plan out all the possibilities before I risk it all
• But I do know this
• In life, you choose between two paths, the good and bad
• But everybody goes their own way
• But what I don't know is
• Will you take the responsibility of someone else's fate
• Will you let it rain upon your sjy for him to have a sunny day

• So for now and forever more I will ask myself:
• When the world falls upon me
• Will I be strong enough to hold it up
