DEFENDER'S RAP

• People say i don't have the right to talk about other's people's religion and race
• And they right, I don't have the right, but who gave them the right to judge what I say
• Are you telling me that there ain't no such thing as a freedom of speech
• That somebody will shoot me dead
• just because he was offended for what i said
• even though i had the right to speak
• In that case, if ever get shot down from my head to my feet
• On my last dying breath I will say,
• "Only God can judge me"
• Y'all say I'm fightin somethin that I have no business fightin
• Y'all say what I'm doing is sin-like, well let me be struck by lightin
• Let God decide if I was a mistake, I considerably doubt it
• I bet he was the one who sent me down so I can become y'all enlightenment
• But even that statement isn't completely accurate
• Because the thing about religion
• It was something that humans made up years ago, and now I'm thinkin, Why should I believe it
• Maybe because I'm living in this crazy world,
• and the thought of somebody watching out for me gives me confidence
• Believing in something that they say is true, without any proof that it is
• But it's al'ight, I'm a human, I live by that kind of nonsense
