- Watch how the waves roll in at the distance

DEFENDER'S RAP
- I look at my pen and wonder what to write as I sit at my desk looking at the pale moonlight
- So many thoughts wonder through my head but none of those thoughts are going to my warm bed
- Writing is like a release for me, it grants me sanity
- From anger, happy, sad, and fear my pen can wipe away my tears
- Sometimes when I do go to bed a verse will start dancing in my head
- So I grab my phone and text myself you probably think its strange to text oneself
- But what would people think if I texted randomnas to their cell
- They might put phone harrassment charges on me and put me in jail
- After I text my verse I think, OK now I can sleep
- But while I'm counting sheep another verse leaps
- Into my head and I think I will get up and write
- Then my mind and pen once again unite
