DEFENDER'S RAP

• We had to get along with demons in that street corner, more so than often
• Vengeful intentions lurked in our soul while we flow with tears as they lower that coffin
• The streets educated us but also showered us with indifference and ignorance
• The wrong and the right were so close apart that we couldn't tell the difference
• Life and death crosses everyday, we ain't even surprised when we see the coroners
• They tell us to straighten up but they feed our vision with liquor and crack corners
• Always thirsty for money and power
• Making you wonder if the concrete can ever grow out a strong healthy flower
• Yes it can, but most are broken down and thirsty for water
• We will go as far as to stain the ground with blood just to make our pockets fatter
• We never gained acceptance and we're all misguided from truth
• Replaced our pencils with a 9mm and you wonder why it's hard to educate the youth
• Living our life blinded and scarface dreams are planted in seeds
• It's ironic how we're the one busting the gun and we're also the one that bleeds
• Product of the streets that raised my consciousness but damaged my inner child
• Learned to load up the chopper and the devil said "you're hired"
• stranger in the culture who spoke violence fluent
• They tell me to live my life in the fast lane, never mind the pursuant
