DEFENDER'S RAP

• why do i fight? to protect home and family
• to offer my life for those who've been there for me
• to preserve balance and bring harmony...
• which was my reason for joining the army
• bullets whiz past me at my my comrades
• i see the dying moms and dads
• taking their last breaths and i realize im the last one left
• i fight on... you ask why?
• maybe you don't understand
• i don't war on because im brainwashed by Uncle Sam
• i fight to achieve world peace amongst all our nations
• to provide my kids with an education
• i fight with broken limbs and arms torn
• friends taken as hostages stomped and torched
• till their turned to a corpse and im forced to mourn
• yet i keep fighting against this seemingly triumphant horde
• i fight, i fight, till i cant fight no more
• but the true question is not why you fight.. But what is worth fighting for
