Alone

 

the sun rises and i try to smile, thinking about all the good times we had

just to look over.. and see that picture beside my bed

feeling so cold missing you now your gone

oh whyd you leave me all alone?

all... alone..

 

 

i know how hard it must of been to hold that gun up to your head

missing your mom and dad, wishing they would hold you again

your 16 still new still green

but the age that was etched into your face

and you left with only one thing left to say

 

im sorry i tried so hard to be strong,

but the nights were beggining to get too long

i felt so alone... but no one would ever know

cuz a fake smile does well to hide a broken heart

if only you'd notice how far we drifted apart...

 

i look at that picture when i get home

thinking about the time that we went on an 8 mile walk

oh how we'd just talk, things seemed so simple then

oh how i miss you dearest friend

i'm sorry i couldn't be there for you in the end

 

sometimes im really lonely i talk to that picture hoping she'll answer

"hows life up there?..., i just got a new job, and a really pretty dog, her names lexie

a border collie,"

 

i miss you so much

there was so much left unsaid i hope we meet someday again
